heather i don't know if i have ever seen a post about ur engine is it stock 1.6. i am in the process of building all my brackets for my sas and have decided to use a yota pick fornt axle and a high pinion 9 inch rear. the high pinion is on order from currie and should be here soon. i have alot of questions about the final touches all the smal stuff. i am using a 5 link in the front and a four in the rear. the front is basiclly a jeep long arm setup. what steering do u use. what t-case, did u or r u going to double it, tire size ( i am planing for 37" rocs). did ya'll stretch the 2 door i am plannig for about 8" of added length. any other info u can give would be a great help.

Here are all the details....

The motor in her 4dr trucklet is a puny, tiny, itty bitty, teeny weeny, stock, 16valve, barely 90 hp, no cold air, no header, rice and oil burning Suzuki motor.

Behind the motor is a dual friction Centerforce clutch.  Behind that is the stock 5 speed manual tranny.  Behind that is the Kicker3 t-case from OTT.

Inside the Kicker3 is the Calmini 4.24:1 rock cralwer gear set.  (very sweet)  Behind the Kicker3 is a stock Sammy t-case. (with it's default reduction in high range)

She's running stock FJ80 axles, with Toyota gears (4.10's) on 35 inch tires (315x75xr16)

The steering is the stock power steering and box.
Brakes use the stock booster and master cylinder.

We put a high steer arm on the FJ80 knuckle from OTT and made our own drag link.   We mated the FJ80 drag link with the adjustable tierod end from the sidekick.  (We'd like to get a drop pitman arm from Sky Manufacturing once we get back from Moab to help reduce the bump steer)

The black 2 door, (Walts) was stretched at the frame.
It got a Chevy 283, w/turbo 350 in it.  Its a full track width Dana 44 front, Dana 53 rear out of a Jeep J3000 truck.
Stock power steering box, no t-case gears, and its on 35s.

Nope, Dana "53" thats FIFTY THREE, it's usually found in Willys Pickups from 1947-1965.  It has a 9.25" ring gear.
They are kinda neato, and serious old school axles, usually along with Dana 41s, and Dana 27s.

thanks for  all the info is there i site i can view with pics of the build and upgrades. how is the stock power steering doing with the 35 aired down. i was actually have a cy dana 30 fornt, a rear dana 44 out of an isuzu, a rear ford 9" out of a 71 bronco, and i am looking for a toyota front truck axle. i hate changing ring and pinions in dana axles however spider gear and locker repairs r alot esier on dana axles. i am considering to t-case options OTT tracker 3 case or machining some slip yoke eliminators. i am worried about the pinion in the toy case if i go bigger than 4.56.

The power steering has handled it well so far. It doesn't even seem to be under strain.

hey heather, i noticed you've said that you've used the stock pitman arm and stock power steering box location. have you moved the front axle forward at all? if so, how much? and do the 35's clear the firewall, or have you tubbed it for clearance when turning???
