Map sensor pics??

I have a 3/93 sidekick and need a pic of were the map sensor is I've searched and looked at my Haynes and am not sure which one it is. Thanks

If you have a 16 Valve, it doesn't have a MAP sensor - It's got a MAF sensor in the intake hose between the air filter box, and the intake manifold.

yup 4dr sidekicks ...

actually 4dr sidekicks got the 16V in 92+ ...
trackers tho not till 94 in california, 95+ for the rest, ... go figure ...

It loads a map into your HUD so you can plot your route through werever you are going right now  ;D

MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure.  It mesaures the pressure in the manifold. The ECU uses manifold pressure, air temperature and a value from a look up table (VE table) to calculate the mass of air entering the engine.

Oh, that's old school -  have the image transferred directly into my brain by neural induction...

But the HUD woulda worked on the F-111D (other models of F-111 didn't have as much flexibility, as far as what they could put up on their pilot's-side-only optical display)...
