I like to see the idea of "Suzuki Works Techno" ... auto makers NEED to embrace some sort of "aftermarket" ... whether that comes from the factory (as dealer addons or specs for small manufacturers to use).

Chrysler is doing that with the SRT-4 and lots of buyers for that "pocket rocket" will go for the stage 2 or 3 upgrades (aka pay the $$$), others may be happy with the out of the box performance (which is AWESOME BTW). The other SRT-* they sell also are promised to get such treatment (aka my wife's PT turbo might have a 300HP engine soon  :o ).

Suzuki can also "design in" the fact that most "SUV" buyers don't need ground clearance or big tires, but some buyers may spend some addional $$$ on bits from "Suzuki Works Techno" so they now have a capable off road vehicle (or lowered cruise mobile, or ...)

All this might be bad news for the aftermarket zuk companies (i.e. Calmini/RRO/TT), but they have a hard sell for someone with a factory warrantied vehicle doing "mods" anyway. In 10 years, if the newer suzukis have "designed in" the ability to be up'd (or down'd) then they can compete against the "factory bits" (price, design, etc), and all is good.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

Buy-it, Build-it, Beat-it, Part-it

The dune is a fully built vehicle!  :o I thought it was just some computer generated pic. :P Damn, I hope this doesnt just become a waste of money, they really need to put this one into production... or at least something similar that I can tweak to be this. I would buy this. Is their any specs availible on this? Tire size, Axle ratio, Ring size, spline count....Crap, is the new GV still availible in a manual trans? Please tell me it is....

Mike

BTW, what does the Blizzard look like?

Seeing how I can't find a ticker symbol to invest some of my retirement with American Suzuki, maybe they could just send a Dune down to Vero Beach for me to show off to all the Snowbirds this winter  ;D That is going to be awesome if this actually hits the open market  8)

The US isn't getting the 2 door and even overseas you can't get a stick and low range.

We get the 2 door and I've heard that there is a convertible 2 door coming next year but as has been mentioned there is no low range and they only come in manual, not auto and the only engine so far is the M16A.

Where did you get this info? Is this rumor or fact?

Only a manual ;D My favorite! Convertable in a year... ::) I can wait a year. No low range is not acceptable! >:( So close but so far  :'( I would have to belive that I could find something to swap in it to get a low range.

Go have a look about the US Suzuki site.

No 2 doors or convertibles to be had.  All Equinox looking 4 doors.

You have to buy the 2 highest trim levels to even get the low range option.

Keep in mind cj is in Oz, not the State's.

Im cool with a high trim level to get a low range...as long as I can get one.

Where the hell is Oz ? Is there a Wizzard there?

I just don't feel you should have to spend thousands of dollars to get power options, color matched bumpers, and fancy schitt in order to get low range.
I'm a rubber floor mats, manual hubs, and manual windows kinda guy.  Simple and works.

Oz = Aussie = Australia
