Noise from Engine Compartment
« on: November 06, 2005, 10:06:39 AM »
When ever I turn on the head lights, heater, anything that draws a large current, I get a knocking sound from the engine compartment.  It has done this since I've owned the Tracker and would like to know why?  I did video it for those who wanted to hear it.  Thanks for all of the input.

That's a new one for me. How many volts is your alternator putting out?

I checked the alt. output and it was okay (around 13.5 to 14)  I was thinking maybe it was some sort of relay.  Not sure though.

That's normal, don't worry about it
