Can't wait to install this bl and spring spacers. I was lucky on this run, I took a run at a hill and I couldn't make it up, So my friend took a slighty different path, just a foot or two to the right and he smacked right into a rock. His poor russian lada was crippled.. We limped it home and if you search the above link, in the other photo albums you'll see the damage. My friend paid I think 300 or 400 bucks for that lada and it's better in stock form than a Kick

No wonder it was a PITA to get up the hill. Thats pretty soft looking snow ;D
Uh. What is a Russian Lada?

It's a Lada that's made in Russia...  :-)

Lada is a brand name.  They supplied 4WD vehicles for the Soviet military for many years.

Did a little search and found this.


1.7L engine with 80 hp.
and being backed by GM, didn't see that coming. ;D

Yeah, they have a good following in Europe... Actually I know a guy in MI who has one.... He plaqued it as something else. I think they have a fiat engine with GM FI ....

friend of mine is looking at picking one up they are very much like our trakicks but not as strong .....that said they apparently come from the factory with front and rear lockers on the top model!!
