Rust,Rust and More Rust! Pt. 4
« on: November 29, 2005, 10:44:56 AM »
For those of you that may have been following my Rust posts Parts.1-2-3-I have completed the full rear section, complete with new frame work and an excess panel to the gas tank.  Well yesterday I got out there to pull the rocker panel covers, front fenders and doors. Lo and Behold------MORE RUST!  Well the rockers were in much better shape then I thought they would be, although I still have to replace about 18" between both sides. No Biggie! When I pulled off what looked to be mint condition front fenders, Well need I say more?  So today I ordered 2 new front fenders and a new chrome grill. Well as you know this all started because I had to replace my clutch, so a simple clutch R and R has turned into a complete body rebuild with custom touches.(ie. 1974 Mercury Comet tail lights - Frenched in license plate, to  center of rear gate - shaved rear gate handle, a hand built custom rear roof section and last but not least a 10x12 front hood scoop for a forced air induction system.  Will post more pix as the weather and progress permit.  Thanks George.

I'm interested, I suspect lots more people are too. No replies doesn't mean no interest - read 77 times up to now. Please carry on because this type of post is the type that people will remember and refer back to in the future when they need to.
