I own a 86 Samurai. All stock.  Motor Runs good.  I plan on putting 31x11.50 tires on it.  My question is what gears do I put in the transfer.  4:1 or 5:1 what can each one do?What are there limits?  Since I am new to the sammy I would Appreciate the help.

Might help if you tell us what sort of wheeling you do (rocks, mud ??), Do you use it as a daily driver etc etc...
