Where does this hose go? How about this one?
« on: December 01, 2005, 09:15:12 AM »
While cleaning some 'rigged' wiring out of my new zuki yesterday, I got to looking at the air filter, intake system, and what not. I pulled the hat and filter out to inspect, make sure it was new as the previous owner said.

When I put it back on, I realized there was a missing vacuum line, and then I found the vaccum line on the ground under the zuki  :o

I guess I didn't realize it, but you have to detach it before removing the carb hat, doh!

So, I pulled the line off, and it also partially tore. I found the male fitting on the carb hat, and I found another male fitting on the engine, both circled in red. Is this the right place to connect this house? (Remember, I didn't see it come off.)
(THIS IS LOOKING DOWN ON THE ENGINE FROM ABOVE)

While messing with that, I also found this little guy (Circled in yellow) There was not a hose on it, and I can't find a place where it connects to. Can anyone tell me what this is, and where I should run the hose to/from it?

THIS IS LOOKING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE (US):

Thanks in advance.

the one you have in yellow goes to this diaphram

the one in red looks like you are in good shape you have the right location on the intake manni, near the head.  It is next to the line that runs to the valvecover-air cleaner assem.

Thanks for the help 94Track...just went out to the shop and put it on.

I know the line from the intake pulled a lot of vac, but I didn't feel anything from that diaphragm or sensor.? I wonder if that affects driveability or check engine light at all.

Take care, and be sure to post pics of your new bumper installed!

Ack,

Actually, It runs about the same still  :-\

I got it up to 62mph today on the highway, and that's on the speedo...so I should be pushing 68mph or so 'actual', due to my tire height.

What was that 'vent' you said is best left disconnected?

And thanks for the welcome!

I'm already tearing into this thing, I love projects. I'm a mustang (5.0 style) junkie, and enjoy fabbing, bodywork, and painting...so I should fit in well.
