Well after researching a bit it souds like the door switch is 'grounded out'   but cutting it off doesnt help....i know this cause i got frustrated and cut it off......  ;D  so is there a way to just disconnect that circuit?  it looks like the only things on it are hte door switch and interior light.  Is there  a way to disconnect it at the interior light?

Thanks

Just search for the beeper noise maker,
and remove it, or you could take it apart
and cut the wire to the beeper thing then
plug it back in if things stop working right.

Believe me if i knew where it was i would go after it with a hedge trimmer at this point.  It doesnt show up on the wiring diagram, and it kind of sounds like it is coming out of the ECU.....which would suck.

hmm interesting oh btw the ding ding for the keys being in there for those of use without soft tops.... if we lock our keys in were screwed, nothing but glass and sheet metal to work around to get into it.  trust me it sucks when your stranded out somewhere without a coat hanger and have to run to a phone to call a cop to unlock your doors.

The beeper in mine was a little black box ( 1" by 2") screwed to the back of the insterment panel, phillips screw driver and 2 wires (red & black) and the noise is gone.

Funny how little things can be so frusterating, think I smashed mine with a BFH but I felt better after ;)

That's why they all should be softtops! :)

The beeping wire(for a lack of better words) (on my 93 kick)

is connected only to the driver side pin switch, I belive it is black with a brown stripe....if you cut it or eliminate a negative connection no more beeping...I acually made a switch so i can turn it on and off as needed...

If you still need overhead light you splice into the other door jam switch wire

Ok,

I had to go to my local mechanic, took him about 4 seconds to find it.....

Its a wire connection on the far right side of the dash under the glove box, kind of up high right near the front plastic of the dash, he pulled the plug and the dinger stopped.......

You know the metal tube that the glove box kind of sits on?  i think it is between that tube and the front of the dash......

Have fun with it.
