just talk to your local speed shop, you can get a universal oil filter relocator, maybe even with dual oil filters, and throw in a cooler on the return line.  cost me 90bucks for the dual filter relocation for my firebird.

Cool ! I'll go and check that next Monday !! Thanks for that !!

Send some more pics of different
angles, I'd be game to carve up a
manifold to make it fit a supercharger

Nice Find

i have been thinking about finding a super charger off a 4 cyl car and fab up an adapter to hook it to the 1.6 head.  let me know if you get anywhere with that.

What 4 cyl car do you have in mind ???
I was looking for superchargers last night
but nobody posts prices for just the SC

I was thinking about putting an aftercooler
in the intake manifold too, pump the engine
coolant thru it to drop the charge temp.

Second: A TBI doesn't flow enough fuel for
more than 2 PSI boost, so you will need some
sort of additional fuel injection to take care
of the boosted fuel demands, I think a custom
designed manifold with MPI injector bungs would
be in order for this day and age, EFI is the way
it is, not so when that Supercharger system was
developed, and if on a Sammy, there was no EFI
until 90' if I have that right.

I would be interested in a Roots type SC with
a flanged boost side instead of a plumbed tube,
as the TunderBird SC has.

But......but......but they sell a "Screw Compressor Silencer Kit"  ???

Wouldn't you want to hear ( and show everybody ;) ) that you have a compressor under the hood ?

Went to pick-up the SC with Weber, cleaned the Weber and found it to be a 32/36. I have another 32/36 coming from the States, but I'll sell that again ;) While being at Suzi's Place, they received a phonecall from some-one looking for a proper working standard carb and I sold the carb that's on my car now there on the spot !!! He is patient enough to wait for me to change everything  !!!

I talked about maybe changing to a 1.6 8valve somewhere probably next summer ( still need a lot of money and have to spend a lot of time on my NOS injected 1300 cc VMax ), found the price for a 1600 very reasonable, they'd allow me to work on the 2 engines ( taking all the stuff needed from the 1.3 to put on the 1.6 ) in their garage using thier tools and experience to save money.

Coming to work ( Tattooshop as Bodypiercer ) I showed the SC to my ( envious ) friends and told my wife about the 1.6 engine and the plans for next summer.

While I was eating my pizza, she had secretly called Suzi's Place and placed an order for a 1.6 so I can do all the changes at once  :o :o :o

I'll go and have the exhaust made next week and work from there.................................I now have to go out and buy my wife a biiiiig bunch of flowers  ;) ;D

[edit]Hmmm, just heard from "someone" on "another board" that the cranck and rods of te 1.6 are weaker than the ones from the 1.3  ??? Any advice on that ?[/edit]

BS, the later 1.6 ie 16V crank is better ballanced,
(weights on both sides of the throws)
otherwise the rods and crank look the same,
1.3 rods and the crank journals are smaller than
the 1.6, and the rods are shorter than the 1.6
but both cranks are hollow in the throw, I don't
know if that's for ballance, or to save rotating weight
but the cranks almost look identical, they aren't tho.

Wild, I see in your signature you drive a 1.6 8v turbocharged Sammie, so you must know what you are talking about. No problems there then ? Ã? should go for the 1.6 8v and put the SC on that ? Any other mods? I ordered an adaptorplate for an oilcooler ( inbetween the engine and oilfilter ), I ordered a boostgauge, an electric fuelpump ( should I take the mechanical off and put a plate on the hole or do I run them together ? ) and an adjustable fuelpressure"thing" ( can't think of the proper name right now  ??? ). I'm also mailing with MSD for the right type of ignition, but maybe one of you guys knows which one to get ?

It's a SideKick, and you need more than
a bigger fuel fump. Are you going  to keep
the carb ?

If you are I don't think you need an adjustable
fuel pressure regulator, unless you got a high
pressure pump, then with a carb you would have
too much pressure, you need about 3-5 PSI to
keep up.
