Christmas Present for myself ;-)
« on: December 24, 2004, 04:54:53 AM »
Well, just a co-incidence actually but today I bought this:

a Camden SuperCharger for a Samurai complete with Weber carb ( not sure if it's a 32/36 or a 38/38, picking it up next week ).

I bought it from a local Suzukishop: www.suzisplace.nl/ They ran it on one of their competitionSamurai's for a couple of runs, but if they'd want to keep it on the Sammie they'd have to move up one Class so they took it off and put it in the attick for the last 3 years and just dug it up this week.

I was there to pick up my British made "JanSpeed" headers to go with the rebuilt head with Calmini camshaft ( and the Weber 32/36 DGAV I bought this week on Ebay, which I'll sell again on the Internet  ;) )

When everything's in the shed ( still waiting for the rebuilt head and free-flowing muffler ) I'll put it all on at the same time and see what difference it makes, I bet this will become one Screaming Sammie  ;D

Supercharger and Weber ( and they will bolt it on my Sammie and set it up ) for € 750,- which is $1000,-

I have to tell you honestly that my wife was there when they showed it to me and I was seriously hoping she'd stop me, but all she said when she saw me stroking this aluminum beauty was: "You do want it don't you? Well........buy it then ! "

I must admit that she's gotten used to this kind of thing: I do own a NOS injected 1300 cc VMax which will have over 300 BHP on the cranck ( which is being specially milled at this very moment )  ;D
I've also just sold my Jaguar 4.2 liter straight 6 JaguarTrike, which now pays for all this nice stuff for the Samurai  :D

Damn... nice find.

That'd bolt right up to an 8v 1.6L, wouldn't it?

 that's the cats ass ;D

I would have to think it would bolt up to a 1.6 8v but then you'd be taking a step back towards carburation instead of tbi i don't know ???

Send some more pics of different
angles, I'd be game to carve up a
manifold to make it fit a supercharger

Yes, it will fit on a 1.6 6-valve, that was one of my first questions when I was drooling all over it, that's one of the mods I had in mind for the Sammie.

I will take pics from all angles when I have picked it up ( and cleaned it a little ) next week and post some here.

I'll be spending most of this weekend looking for all the other things I will need to run this SuperCharger ( like oilcooler and ignition, anybody got any info on an oilcoolerkit for a Sammie ??? )

Any info would be appreciated  :)

I think I'll make a new page on my website with all the engine goodies  :D

Merry Christmas !

just talk to your local speed shop, you can get a universal oil filter relocator, maybe even with dual oil filters, and throw in a cooler on the return line.  cost me 90bucks for the dual filter relocation for my firebird.

Hold on, if that thing bolts on to the 1.6, then just make an adapter to bolt the tbi onto that.
