I really appologize because I don't know how to call this piece of the body... 


The question here is HOW to remove this piece of the body??

I tried some time ago I wasn't able to remove it beacuse there's some kind of spot-welded parts here?

Any comment would be appreciated.

It's actually part of the fender.

if you really want to remove it, (and why?) take the whole wing off - it's easy!  first scribe some line-it -up -again - marks, then remove the bolts on the top edge and inside the top of the door shut,  a screw under the headlight lower outer corner from the bumper lip upwards, and a bolt and captive nut on the lower edge near the sill behind any plastic trim ( careful!)  remember to carefully prise out one line of the plastic inner arch clips ( cheap to replace) and lift it off

Ok now I have a better Idea.... I thought it was a single piece separated from the fender...

I was planning to run some wires from VHF/UHF antennas on the roof rack and thought it was easier to remove so the cables can be organized...

Also I was planning to install an antenna support between that piece and the fender but they're one whole piece

The inmediate plans are installing the antennas, but maybe a snorkel can be in my way soon 

That is what I was thinking about doing to run a snorkel.  If you do it can you put up pics?

How do you reattach it after the snipping?   Does it affect the rigidity of the fender?

You can JUST see where I cut mine off to do the snorkal. There's 2 bolts holding it on plus a couple of spot weld type things. I took the fender off, and used a sawzall to cut the welded part off, but still leave all of the fender intact. Was very easy to do. there holes already from the stock intact crap, so I ran a piece of (I think) 2" tubing down thru there and ran a 90* elbow to capture the air. Works well and holds upto highway speeds.

It's got it's own 2 bolts, just bolt it back on

I have experience doing home made snorkels, I'll post a pic of my old toy truck.
