I don't go out without my metric adjustable wrench....the standard ones just don't cut it on the zukes.

i lost my roll of duct tape once....I knew that I had bought a new roll and put it in a safe place. About a month later the zuke was almost on it's side and all of a sudden the roll hit me in the head....I had stuck it on the roof of the zuke and when I was looking for it I never thought of looking up.

A metric adjustable wrench! Excellent... I'm gettin' one of those. hehe.

I carry a little tub of kitty litter... If I leak something on the trail I can soak it up before it saturates the ground then just shovel it in with my garbage to take home!

A few years back I was working at a Fastening house and someone called from a company and was looking for a metric adjustable...he said that he had been trying to find one for two weeks and that he had just started working there so he wanted to do a good job. They were sending him on a wild goose chase.

I went into the computor system and changed the description of the adjustable wrench and added metric, he was so happy.

I've actually seen some since this....they had metric markings so they do exist.

I bring lots off tools because most of the time there is a tool in the bunch that didn't bring any tools and normlaly the tools right isn't up to getting out and playing on the trail...I just got to make sure the tool brings back the tools....

A crescent hammer.  It's an 8" crescent wrench with a 3/4" nut and the head of a bolt welded over where the adjuster sticks out.  I never leave home without it.

I haven't started building my "kit" for my tracker just yet, but in my fullsize truck I carry, at all times:
folding shovel (proven to be the most useful so far)
axe
knife
tow strap
rope
PPE: coveralls, eye protection, gloves
basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, hammer, etc.)
portable air compressor
wd-40, other useful chemicals (can't remember off the top of my head)
duct tape, electrical tape
electrical splice connectors
cheater bar in the driver's door (or beater stick)
mag-lite
fire extinguisher
road flares
flagging tape
zip ties
SPARE BELTS AND HOSES

I am thinking about downsizing this to a more portable toolbox that can be moved from vehicle-to-vehicle and carry it in the tracker on the trail and keep it in the truck at all other times
God put me on earth to accomplish a certain number of things.  Right now I am so far behind, I will never die.
