Is there a way to decode the VIN # on a track/kick to see the exact info on it? By that I mean like, where it was made, options, parts differences between models etc?

The VIN will only tell you so much get the RPO's and that's almost the build sheet when it left the factory.

RPO - Really Poetic Options - It's a poem, written by an official factory poet, describing the vehicle.  For Instance:

This Tracker's fair,
yeah, she's no bear
One point six liters,
she's no beater

sixteen valves too
she'll propel you
and teal green
metallic sheen

She's just a two door
with five on the floor
and factory air
she'll get you there

(OK, yes, I'm just kidding.)

After that lovely artistic interlude ...

RPO == Regular Production Options (It's a GM thing, so might only have the RPO sticker on CAMI built models?) ... If you can still read the sticker in the glovebox, it should list the codes.

No, I'm a poet.  That took me about 30 seconds.  Maybe not that long.

Poet.

Po-it.

You want Haiku?  I can do haiku.

You want Iambic Pentameter, I can do that too.

Rappers are also poets, if somewhat limited in their range of styles.  I respect rappers.  They are bringing poetry to the average man.  Kids WANT to be rappers.  I'm OK with that.  Don't let the offensive nature of it bother you, some of these people are really GOOD poets.

Thanks for the info SnoFalls. The RPO is exactly what I was looking for. If anyone hasn't tried it check it out. I also found this decoder:

http://s-series.org/module-htmlpages-display-pid-26.html

It's easier than the other link because you just put in your code it looks up what they are for you all at once. There's still about 4 or 5 code sets in my RPOs that don't come up. I guess you need a dedicated Geo RPO decoder. It's still pretty cool, tells you right down to the color interior, tire size, engine, stereo, etc, etc.

That site was a great help, I found out a bunch of info on my car that I didn't know before. One question though, where can I find out what the PLT #, CSN #, and the Model # mean? Any help would be great.
