Wow that is a nice sidekick. Only thing i think it needs is about 1 or 2 more antennas, you can never have enough antennas lol. Was the soild axle conversion pretty hard and why leaf springs instead of coil? I would think sticking with a four link would be easier?
The conversion was ...tough... but it was a learning experience. It STILL IS. We're still working on getting it rolling with the new Toy axles. (Waiting on OTT)
When you have buddies who have the right tools and will work for pizza and beer or backsies (we work on THEIR truck too) the conversion is a lot of fun for everyone.
As for leaf springs instead of coils, it was easier for us to go that way. Imagine just putting spring hangers on the front and rear, and hanging leafs. .. Versus trying to create control arms and links for a coil suspension. Needing to know all the geometry, trial and error, lengths.. etc. Plus, for us, leaf springs was the cheaper choice, and the quickest to be able to be thrown together in a short amount of time. I'm sure some people will disagree with me, but having had NO experience, the idea of going coil and a link suspension was a little daunting compared to the leaf setup.
