Ticking from somewhere?
« on: August 20, 2006, 10:26:14 AM »
My zuk can good all weakend, but the last day I got on a mound and seasawed the rig on the frame.  After that there was a tick sound that started only when on the throttle.  If I down shift no ticking.  If I pump the gas pedal it ticks or if i am going down the road it ticks.

I think I may have messed up my exhuast, it may be leaking.  I dont think it is the valves because it only happens when on the throttle.  Sounds kind of like a lawn mower.  Any suggestions.

Oh brand new calmini exhuast.  150,000 miles.

Exhaust has a spring and bold Cat clamp,
you probably seperated it and you have
a leak, just fix that, should be good

I did not use the spring bolt clamp on the new calmini exhuast.  But where the header connects to the cat the gasket calmini gave me broke so we put a donut in there and it is leaking around there.  Not to bad but it does sound like a lawm mower coming down the road.

I suppose if I drop the exhuast down from the header that would narrow the problem down.
