Well I finally got my
new tires mounted to the cheapo rims I'd picked up ...
I went with 31x10.50 Yokohama Geolandar's ... they are nice and meaty, but *very* quiet on pavement. Downside is I expect they'll wear fast, but good and soft when offroad (probably 50% of the hours are going to be non-pavement anyway).
My minimal lift (2"body, 1" spacer) meant some trimming was need at the rear of the front fenders. After the initial cuts I'm clearing good, with a little more cleanup inside to eliminate *all* rubbing it should be perfect. I really have to work at it to get into the frame (and I might just fix that by adjusting the stops a little).

(this pic is with the outter fender sliced and then posed to stuff in the tire)
The rears on the other hand are hitting the fender lip ...

I'm thinking a "virtual" body lift (slice and bend the fender as much as necessary). Another 1" on the BL woulda done it, but I hate the 2" I already had to do

I don't mind some body massaging ...
Some more pics ...
