gotta luv herculiner too ... I cut the front fender about 1/2" from where I wanted the"line", used some pliers and bent a "lip" into the fender. The herc just bent right around the radius ... so I have a cut fender, with a lip, and still herculined.

It *looks* good (and I like that too :) ) ... I DONT like the restricted visibility tho! ... at least I only have to wear it during the winter :)

Looking good. Nice tires.
And I ran into that problem on my 4dr Sidekick when I mounted bigger tires (rear tire rub no lift (yet)).
Didn't notice it b-4 but I got a good groove in my rear tire now :o
coil spacers on the way. ;D

I'll look in a few (might gone in the trash, or sitting out in a pile). It was in bad shape (windows opaque, rips, zippers broken, vinyl cracked and stiff). Got most of the mounting stuff still.

looking good mate, sometimes i wish i took more consideration when doing stuff to my vit.

i initially fitted some 31"s to my vit with NO LIFT. this meant cutting a lof of guards. i had a lot of rear guard rub (cut) at full stuff, cut a groove in the tyre also.

and now with the 3" body lift, i have absolutely no rubbing at all.

i was also going to get the same tyres as whet you got, but over here they aren't cheap, and compared to the MT/Rs, are a bit over priced.

looks great.

31" LTBs  :o I didn't know they came in that size,
how wide are they 11.5 or 12.5 ???

Wild, I think he wrote that those are 10.5's.

Looks like I am running "almost" the same setup as you. Except I have the 2" coil spacers which gave me about 2.5-3" of lift.

Did I read that you had to cut your front fenders to use the 10.5" 31" tires?

Ohh yeah, mine gets beat like a red headed step child. Then it wants more. I think that the mud makes it happy. Speaking of which we have some snow in Maine, so it may be time for some snow play...

I trimmed the fenders using the 31s as
a guide before I went to get the 33 LTBs,
I also did an A-arm relocation, I have a 4"
Body Lift, 3" front and rear Suspension lift

I've got my trimming done ...

Ended up "reworking" the rear lip up about 1". I can now full flex (i.e. 2 wheels off ground), and have finger clearance out back, and also clean clearance up front.

Went running around in the woods locally listening for any rub, and even banging it hard, everything sounds clear.

The rear "massaging" took about 2 hours. The gas filler kinda made the job a bit of a pain, but not too bad. Probably shoulda "documented" the procedure with pics, but oh well.

Essentially, I layed some tape to show my new line, trimmed to around 3/4" or so of that line (I used a cutoff wheel, but sawzall or shear, or plasma, or ... would work too).  I then added some relief cuts every 3" or so (2" where it curves hard), used pliers to get the basic shape, and the BFH to finesse the new lip. The factory paint chipped in some places (as expected), but the factory primer held good.

I wasn't too worried about the "finish" of the new lip since I'm going to have to put some flares on. Also the body already has plenty of dents and scratches, so I just pounded away.

I wanna keep body rot away, so I'll probably have to go back and deal with some of the exposed cuts ... before the flares go on .. some primer should do the job of protecting the bare metal.

post-pics for the hungry ...

I could have had a hardtop for $250, still kicking my own ass for not jumping on it, could have sold it if I didn't want it and doubled my money.
