or he has "toy" axels ... roll it back and forth 10 times, and it goes without the engine running :) (aka "stomper")

The best I've ever done with my 4wd '96 is 30mpg.  That's with the tires pumped tp 32psi and driving it like I have an egg between my foot and the gas pedal.

If the tires are at factory spec of 23 psi, the mileage drops down to about 25mpg.  It's a trade off.  At 32psi it rides like a rock.

But, 38?  Maybe it's within the realm of possibility, but he's in Colorado Springs, and I doubt it at that altitude.  I guess not all fairy tales begin with, "Once upon a time..."

If only it weren't so PURPLE...

I knew a guy that installed two gas
savers, one was a 50% and one was
a 60% for a total of 110% gas savings  :o
He had to stop every 30 miles or so and
drain his gas tank

Some of those devices work OK on some of the older carbed engines, but I doubt you'll see any improvement in a modern engine that's running moderately well.

About the only thing that might help a Zuki engine would be a turbo charger or reshaping fuel flow. (Not including the obvious... lightening the vehicle and over-airing the tires. <g>)
