I would go 33s as wide as possible, but thats me.

Mike, what are the benefits of  running a wide tire?  Do you find the sami or side/track has enough weight to get the best traction with a wide tire?  I know you're running the pitbulls... How do the perform vs. the narrower tires?  Just curious.  I usually run the 12.50 versions, looking for input.  Thanks ;D

Some of the guuys have siad that 5.13 would be way to much for 31" tires! So im thinking 33/10.50/15 TSL Radials!! What do you guys think?

i love my swamper radials, mind you mine are only 31x9.5's.  not so bad on road and would not be able to complain off road.  drop em to 20 psi and perfect!  go swampers!

weight wise when i bought mine i was concerned that the swampers might be heavy, i don't recall the exact difference but between the tsl's and bfg mt's in 31 there was less than 3 pounds difference according to national 4wd.  of course my tires are a little narrower.

The 33x10.5's w/ 5.13's should work great on the street and in most trails.  Plus the narrowed tire will cut down on the rolling resistance of the tire (no to mention making it easier to keep the tires off the springs and under the fenders at the same time w/o huge flares).  Only issue is the tires will tend to flex more side to side when steering at speed, but if you're thinking swampers, they're stiff enough where they should be fine.

If you do alot of rock crawling, consider a set of 4.16 t-case gears and some 4.62 gears in the diffs.  you'll get about the same hi-range gearing and the low range will be better for the rocks.   This was the route I was going to take before I got a nice deal on a set of 6.5 t-case gears and a $20 stock t-case to swap them into.

Unlike Mike, who wheels like a maniac  ;D I have to say that when I went up to 33's, I felt I didn't need any more width - so I stuck with the BFG Mud Terrains in 33 X 10.50.  They've been nothing but perfect for the trails I wheel - Moab (slickrock - which isn't slick at all), and the rocky/sandy trails of the Rocky Mountains - almost no mud.

I wheel in soft terrain for the most part. Sand, snow, mud, and loose dirt. I dont want to find bottom. I want to float accross the top and dig down as little as possible. Wider tires also give more off camber stability and help flex better(more leverage on the springs).
