That would suck, cause I know those aren't cheap.

What are they like to change out for a new one, in terms of labour.

I know that in your average car it's a pain in butt.

On another note, I had my heater blowing in the tracker today and all of a sudden it stopped coming out of the vents??

I kept playing with the lever and the damn thing wouldn't come back on, then all of a sudden she's back on again?? Weird??

i think the most of the cost is instalation cuz they are usually whores to get out soo its hard to say what it would cost.

That's what i thought :-/

Any ideas why my heater fan would shut off and come back on? Loose connection maybe?

Ya, the solder comes off of the wire
on the back of the switch, I re-did
mine 2 times now, and I think it's doing
it again, just re-solder the connection
it will be fine.

heater core???

The heater core is inside, his windows
would be steamed up big time, and coolant
would be all over the floor

No coolant in the cabin, on the floor at all. My windows do not heat/sweat up at all.

As for the the fan lever, good to know Wild.  I'll check this out and fix it.
Thanks again.

A few weeks after I got my black Tracker, I had a moderate leak... after driving 8 miles, it'd end up draining all the coolant out of the reservoir and some out of the radiator. I checked, double-checked, and rechecked again EVERY single coolant line I could see... and you know what it ended up being? A small hose that runs from the metal rail on the block underneath the intake manifold to the bottom of the manifold had a split in it. Not only was it hard to find out in the first place, it was twice as hard to replace... I ended up tearing off the manifold just to get to it. fucking fat hands >:(

:-/My heater core leaked in the gasket through the fore wall no leak inside but alot out side until I wiggled it then it leaked in and outside. The crack was on the return elbow. It was summer when I rebuilt the little beast so I did not worry too much about how long it took I just bypassed the core for awhile, now with snow falling it might be a big deal.
