90 sidekick ignition
« on: August 02, 2007, 06:03:30 PM »
I have a 90 Sidekick w/manual tranny.  All of a sudden I cannot turn the key.  Suggestions from anyone- I don't want to spend $180 for a new switch unless I have to.  Turning the wheel doesn't work, turning the key over doesn't work.  Are switches from Samurai, or god forbid trackers interchangeable?

Since you edited your post I edited mine.  ;D

Switches from sidekick and trackers are interchangable.

Go to a salvage yard and get one for cheap .Around here trackers are more plentiful than Sidekicks.

The lock is probably broken but have you tried some WD40 or similar?
