Richmond Gear would like to hear from YOU - Vote TODAY!
« on: September 28, 2007, 03:25:57 PM »
We have been contacted by Richmond Gear to do an informal poll to see which gear sets the Suzuki community would like to see produced. The more people that participate the better for two reasons: first, show them that the Suzuki enthusiasts would like deeper gears for their rides and second, more samples (votes) should help get more realistic percentages. So, Please forward this thread to whomever you think would like to weigh in on the subject.

Thank you, Eric

Lower gears from a name brand?  I guess I had better start saving up for a set now.  Add the lower gearsets with some lower transfer case gears and I would be leaning away from doing a Sami doubler setup.

I hope that they're looking at offering them for the Kick rear. It would solve a major problem.

6.33s, I like the sound of those. The 5:83s are still a bit high on my 8V with 33s

I forgot to mention this but if they do go ahead with any of the above options it would be no good unless the gear sets were available for both front and rear Track-Kick axles.

As we continue to build these rides bigger and better than ever before, the need for low gearing is a MUST!!!!!!

Thanks Richmond!!!!

My vote is for the 6.33:1 gears.  I am running 33's and would love to run 35's.  PLEASE MAKE THEM!! :D

Well, since many Zooks run 5.12s stock, 6.33s are the real option for them.

Eric -

These gonna be 12 bolt rear, 10 bolt rear or both?

That is definitely something to pass along. That there are some options out there like the 10 bolt 12 bolt deal on the 7.5" ring and also, like someone mentioned, a 7.0" ring & pinion for the fronts...

If they could make them work...  It would certainly help for putting larger tires on manual trackers.  :)

Given that the bulk of Kicks are most likely to be 12 bolt rear and the GV's are also 12 bolt then from a volume point of view that would be the logical choice for a rear R&P. Those with a 10 bolt can upgrade to a 12 bolt carrier if needed, at least there would an option. Obviously there is no point making a rear without a matching front ratio available too. The fronts will also fit the Sammi's so volume isn't an issue there but they already have so many gearing solutions available that I really hope that Richmond are looking at this for the Kicks and GV's. I know I will definitely be buying a 12 bolt 5.83 if/when they ever become available as I have a lonely 5.83 front sitting here waiting to be used and a 6.33 would be the next choice for me.

Eric -

Pass along that 12 bolts are all that needs to be produced.  Also, to machine the 7" rings so that they work in the Kicker, and in the Sammy without cans and spacers.
