The only time I blow a fuze is
when the alternator wire touched
and grounded out, the engine would
crank but not start, and it is an instant
pop as soon as the ignition is turned
on the fuse blows

Which blue one is it?

The top fuse is for your right headlight.

The bottom one is for your Ignition system and warning indicator lights.

You may have a short circuit somewheres caused from an exposed wire.

Not sure if your CD player would be causing it, but if its hooked to your ignition powerfeed (so it turns off when you shut the truck off) then it might be blowing the fuse too. (though don't quote me on that)

Cool to hear you got it running, what was wrong? Did you find out why you blew the fuse?

nah its still blowing fuses, i left it in the mechanics shop at school so i can work on it tommorw, i was reading in my repair manual and apparently the cd player is not on the same fuse as the ign, coil switch (the one that keeps blowing) so i was reading and all the warning lights run on that fuse (ign. coil switch) all my warning lights work but my seat belt one, my teacher said there could be a short in that so that could be the problem, hopefully i will get it figgured it out soon.

Is it the right AMP rated fuse in that socket?

It's an intermitant problem,
check the alternator connection
and get a circuit breaker, that way
it will reset after the short has
got back to normal

Ya, try Autozone in the Fuse
department, it'a a metal fuse
size box with legs just like the
fuse, put it in where the blown
fuse is, now when there is a short,
it breaks the circuit, when it cools
it makes contact and the circuit
will work again, unless there is
a short still, then it will open again.

It's good protection and cost $5.00
Most Semi Trucks have these instead
of fuses, some are manual reset, like
in your house, but just a little pin that
you push back in, the little silver box kind
are automatic reset, really cool and you
will never have a fuse worry again

Sounds like youve got a bad pre-heater on your O2 sensor. To double check this unplug the O2 and see if it happens again. The check engine will come on though. The repair is to replace the O2.
