I have heard a lot of people talk about finding little to VERY little grease when doing work that required the bearings to be exposed. I resently replaced my rear axle seal and found VERY little grease on the bearing. I checked the other side and there was almost none. The front doesn't seem to have been greased at all.
Maybe there was a grease shortage or something when my truck was put together but it's worth a check and a grease on your part to avoid a costly fix. just FYI.

My reardrivers side did not have an oil leak and had only a little *grease*. the side with the inner oil seal leak had a little gear oil on it and a little grease. I know most full size axles rely on gear oil for the rear bearings and I thought my tracker did as well. But if you pull an axle out you'll see that these have an inner and outter seal to keep grease and oil seperate.

This is the first rear drive straight axle wheel bearing assembly that I have ever worked on that did not rely on the gear oil for lube. I specialize (ASE) in suspension, steering and brakes to include all sub-assemblies. This is actually a cool set up if you ask me. It's *like* a floater hub assembly as far as needing grease and having an inner and outter seal. If you have gear oil in/on your bearings with this set up odds are you have an inner axle seal leak. Which will make it's way out the outter seal as the outter seal seems only able to hold in grease not oil which will contaminate your brake shoes eventialy.

Take it from a guy who has owned many a Suzuki dirtbike;
The manufacturer puts only enough grease in an assembly to say, "yeah, there's grease in there." 

Almost every swingarm I've taken apart had about one mediocre pump from a grease gun in it!

It's a good idea to check all lube points and fluids whenever you've got an assembly apart. The extra step can save you some serious heartache.
