97 Sidekick

Need Help!!! I have a 97 sidekick, 5 speed, 16 valve, cami lift, bracket broke loose from center of front dif, wallered out the housing from where the inner CV goes into.  Should I go back with stock aluminum housing with 31" tires no locker or I should I go ahead and use the 99 Vitara castiron housing?  Will I have to change out the ring a pinion or is it a direct bolt in?  I appreciate in any info, because I am knee deep in the ride.  How tough is that aluminum housing with 31" tires?

Thanks,
Goop

The harder you drive the less likely the alumionum front diff will survive.I would go with the cast diff or mabey an Anvil from Calmini.

Obviously not very if you've broken it. Get the steel one from a Vitra, or the one from Calmini
