Been there done this many times. The dead spot is caused by a malfunctioning ECU due to corrosion and at least one bad capacitor. Yes it is throttle body injection. Replace the ECU and all will be right with your "Zukiworld" again.  8)

I have the ECU out and pulled the cover off it. I am far from being a electronics expert or even know much about electronics, but it appears to me that resistors (I think that is what they are called) number C60, C106, and C112 are all leaking a black substance.
1badzuk2,
If you still have your ECU, please let me know.

You can also use a fuse in the empty space in fuse box and the zuke will throw a flashing code via check engine light...

I didn't see it suggested but on my 1.6 8v sidekick efi throttle body engine I was backing up and then it died out of nowhere.  After thinking the worst I found it was a fuse on the standard fuse block that handled the fuel injection.  I am not sure if the efi sammys have the same fuse but it would only take you a minute to look at all your fuses and make sure you have no blown ones.

I found a injection system with the ECU for a 1.6L for sale for $150.00. Will this ECU work on a 1.3L engine?

The ECU I found comes with the entire intake and wire harness. It is off a 1991 Tracker 1.6L EFI.
If the ECU will not work on my 1991 Samurai 1.3L EFI, can I put the entire 1.6L intake, harness, and ECU onto my 1.3L?

You would be better off just finding the correct ECU for your Sami.

If you swapped the intake, throttle body, and ECU from the Trackick you would also need the distributor and housing. Not worth the hassle. And of course you have to redo the other harness.

And no, you can't use the Trackick ECU. Totally different beast.
