i was wondering if anyone on here has lowered there front diff on a sidekick im lifted to high and now i have broke the diff and axles just need some tips pics would be great anyone with any info it would be greatly appreciated
I have lowered my diff by extending the hanging brackets an 1 1/2". The ds is no problem because it hangs straight down, but the ps runs towards the back at about 45 degrees. I cut this bracket at an angle and then slid it down, adding bracing on the sides to keep it strong. The back of the diff gets more difficult. I cut and lowered my cross member to allow the diff to stay straight (I believe Calmini allows theirs to angle upwards). It would be much easier to flip your diff over and run it with high pinion, giving you lots of room to lower it. (If you keep your oil level up, it should throw enough oil to keep the pinion bearing lubricated.)
