Samurai rear brake proportioning valve
« on: February 26, 2009, 01:44:34 PM »
My rear proportioning valve is leaking. Where can I get a new one that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg?

Try Hawks or just bypass it and get one from spidertrax.

Same thing... It seems my rear wheels don't brake enough. What if I connect rear brake line directly, bypassing the proportion valve?

Curious, what might happens when I'll brake on snow/ice or any slopy road?

The rear end of the rig will pass the front of the rig!

Is it mean that better to replace it with new one? Is Spidertrax any difference of stock one?

I believe the Spidertrax one is adjustable, so you can tweak it to work best with your particular configuration.  If you need a little more rear brakes you can just dial it up.

When my rear driveline snapped at ujoint the female yoke smashed the brake porportioning valve.  I ordered one from Trail Tough for $45, yes I couldve went with spidertrax.... but I didnt want to yet.
