Samurai is narrower so can go places the Kick might not.  They have smaller motor and no power steering. No fuel injection.  Parts are usually cheaper but can be harder to find.  Tough as nails.

not sure where you live or if its the same in the states, but in canada they started making the sami's FI in 1989.. or around there

i say get a sami, ive owned both and i like the sami much better... parts are definetly harder to get, but most things i've had to fix could be repaired if i spent a little time, plus there are quite a few samurais around here if i needed some used parts

simplicity of the samurai is another bonus, dont get me wrong, i love trackicks as well, just my opinion

Andrew

Yeah, you're right some are fuel injected,  they are just  fewer and farther between.   And having had ECM problems myself, the simplcity of the Sami is tempting sometimes!

If i were you i would go with the Samurai
im 19 and i have had mine for over six years fixing anything and everything. parts are cheep and the people at the junk yards all know me by name (im not sure thats a good thing or a bad thing) anyway, get the samurai, its cheeper to repair depending on where you live

I like the Kicks. If you donr mind fab work you can build one of these that can handle alot of big rock and still drive it to and from the trail but there is not near as many choices of aftermarket parts on the market for building a Kick compared to the Sami. If you want an insane wheel travel having strictly rock buggy you'll probably be better off with a Sami if you want to do it with aftermarket parts. But if you dont want to the aftermarket thing, you can do the same with some fabing and a Kick. Both vehicles will need axle upgrades, lift, tires, gears, lockers, etc..... So basically go with what you like. The aftermarket is getting better every day.
