I'm using my sami as a daily driver (street and freeway) and a also as trail/light crawler truck with a 1.6 16v on it.

Thanks

If you go with Toyota axles 4:10 or 4:30, if you go with a hybrid rear Sammie axle with tracker third I would go with 4:30 ratio if you drive on the freeway and don't want to run at 5000 rpm's all day.

The 6.5 should bring you into stock gearing for the 33" tires in high range.  With the 16v you should have enough power to move the tires without any real issues.  Using a GPS to check your speed how far off is the speedometer, and are you looking for more power then you have now due to over-gearing or just trying to get the speedometer into spec?

In that case I have to agree with mrfuelish, but I would take a look at your cooling system first though.  I run 4K on the freeway in my Tracker on the freeway without issues and have climbed passes in 4th pushing those RPM's.

I run 4000 to 4500RPM on the freeway, some where in the range of 50 to 55 mph. Never gets hot, definitely look into your cooling system.  Does it over heat at any other time? Or is it just a freeway thing?

thanks again, anyway I have to replace the radiator after the old one decides to die on me at the worst moment ever, now I'm running a new aluminum one with an electric fan (flex-a-lite), I haven't tested yet on the freeway.
Maybe I will try with a set of 4.57 and see how my sami can handle the street.

Thanks for the advice.

Nice Nice, I to have a flex a lite fan.
I have had my fan off for months now, the only real time I turn it on is when im in lowrange crawlin around.  Thats the only time the temp will come up.

Sounds like a good set up you got.
Your going to be increasing your RPMS with 4.57s.
