There've been pics posted here before... I don't have any.

Making them just takes some cutting and some welding :)

I'm picking up a set of used doors tonight. Going to set about them with the angle grinder ;D   Only minor problem I have is that the stock hinge pins look like some sort of rivet - more work for the grinder.

I picked up the doors last night this evening I took off my existing doors and after grinding the heads off the pins (rivetted) knocked them out. Now I have learnt just how easily the part of the hinge that bolts to the door can bend  :( and just how difficult it is to straighten them  :( :( After 3 1/2 hours I have got one set of hinges modified with the removable pin through them (luckily the used doors still had the hinges attached and had the removeable pins  :D
I've got the trim off the used door and removed the glass. There is a hefty looking bar running along the door, pic below:

I'm going to cut above this as it seems like a good idea to retain the impact protection. It should look something like this:

Unless I respray it myself in which case it won't look so tidy, lol. I'm going to cut some metal tomorrow. at the front I'm going to bring a line down following the metal work around the mirror which will be retained. At the back it will kick up to go around the lock and blend in with the line on the bodywork.

One thing I've always wondered about 'kick half doors (and one reason I haven't started chopping up one of my parts Tracker doors) is how the latching mechanism works after you cut it up? Do you just install some sort of latch of your own on it, or can you use the existing latch by re-working the linkage?

The existing latch is secured to the door frame and remains. There are a few steel rods coming off of it for the locking mechanism, the external release and the internal release. I just removed the rods I didn't need, I will have to make up a new internal release or relocate the existing handle (most likely option).
