Doing a 1.3 to 1.6 8valve swap on the fuel line what do I do.Do I cut the rubber off of the metal line and double clamp it to the inlet on the fuel line on the fuel injection can someone tell me

 well the FI uses a much higher PSI then you manual pump .
 you can get away with hose clamps on a lower  TBI   like a chevy 4.3   it only runs around 30 PSI .
BUT  the pump on both the 8V and 16  run 90+ lbs  as such its best to have   flaired line ends and pressure fittings to keep the leaks down .

yes cut it off and use fuel injection hose and clamps.   you can buy that at napa.  thats what Trail tough does.  ask brent.

I agree the pressure is definitely high and pressure fittings would probably be the "best" solution....


However I have been running clamp with fuel injected rated hose for over a year now, and have had no leaks. I did flair the fuel line a little to help hold the hose and clamp.
Difficult takes a day. Impossible takes a week.
