Generally, with japanese vehicles in general, you can do 99% of the work on one with an 8 through 19mm socket. MOST things are 8 10 or 12mm usually, but never hurts to be prepared. 250 for a low miles running motor isnt bad.

Go ahead and get wiring harness out send it to Brent It will be the best thing you every done just got threw putting a 89 in my sammy.I bought all my stuff from TT but I will tell you one thing the 89 motor has a taller throttle body you may want to look at another place for the motor mounts.I had to make a hood scope fore mine because I didn't want to go with a body lift Don't take me wrong TT is the best Brent was the one who told me about the 89 sits a little taller.just letting you know

I wanting to stay carbed is it still necessary to swap the wiring harness? Also since I am staying carbed will I still have a bad hood clearance issue?
Thanks for the tip on the trans bolts

If your staying carbed you will keep your existing engine wiring, your just swapping the long block at that point.
Not sure on the hood though. Should be ok.

As far as the fuel pump should I go buy a universal electric or is there one from another vehicle that I can snag while I'm at the pick n pull. I should be going tomorrow or Friday to pick everything up
