To be quite honest, I have been looking at the CALMINI system, (Model #SK901) and when converted to Canadian dollars comes to almost the same as for a genuine Suzuki muffler.  My exhaust is still holding up.  It's just noisy from all the leaks and squeaking parts rubbing together.

So I e-mailed CALAMNI to find out how much shipping to Canada is and I think I'm going to order their system early next spring, after the messy winter is over.  I think it's going to be great!

Hey Dude,
I can give you the entire cost rundown off list...I had mine shipped from Cali to Edmonton after the Ontario rep disappeared. They do have a reputable distributor in Vancouver that may offset the shipping costs a bit. Having said that I have nothing but good to say about Chris from Calmini. Call their 800# and talk with him about you want to do.

I installed the entire system including the hi-flo cat as well as a Calmini hi-flo air cleaner. I highly recommend doing the same thing. This exhaust has a nice mellow tone, does not sound like a ricer when you walk on it...and I tell you it woke this little engine up. Next week I'm installing my throttle body spacer and getting a full tune-up done.

Come Spring I'm hoping to install Calmini's 6" combo lift and some 30's or 31's.

That wouldn't be the same rep that is located in Kitchener Ontario, is it?

As for the air cleaner, I installed a K&N Filter late last month that seems to be working like a charm.  CALMINI e-mailed me back with esitmate of $35 US shipping, on top of the $149 US price tage for the system I want.  As of now in Canadian funds that's $241 CDN and that's good enough for me!  ;D

Yep that would be the one. Apparently she had pneumonia and was out of contact for three weeks...that was at the exact same time I ordered the exhaust through her.

You'll like the exhaust and the customer service.

exhaust update,  backing into steep banks is not advised with stock exhaust,  may cause exhaust to jump and wrap itself around the rear axle.  lol  and i cut that sucker right off behind the muffler,  and i thought it was loud before.  lata Stu

I bought a GTS Bug Deflector off of her and I went to pick it up as Kitchener is a stones throw a way from Toronto in the greater scheme of things.  Yeah, she had a pretty decent web site set up and everything, but she, like you said, disappeared.  She runs that operation out of her home, so I guess it was getting tough for her to handle.

I got a complete custom bent 2" exhaust from headpipe to rear with a turbo muffler for $239 canadian. really woke this thing up. Add a cone filter on the intake plenum and lose the high restriction airbox system and it really starts to come to life. ;D

Or you could just modify the air box.  I don't like running cone airfilters because they aren't very well protced from the elements.  In mud or water the fan will spit mud all over the filter.  In sand they get dirty in about 12 seconds.  I ran three smaller hoses up behind the grill.  Hopefully they are getting more (and colder) air.  I don't know if they help, but it lets me sleep better at night.

Oh no...I hope it doesn't take that long.  I also realized that I've maxed out my credit card when I made the purchase... I hope my bank lets me slide, I really, really want this thing.

Oh man it's going to be a dry summer making payments on that damn Visa card.  ::)

I got my muffler today! I did have to call Calmini again because my card was maxed out... :-/  I put some money in it and they shipped it out! I'm going to have it put in Saturday morning! I've been driving around for about a year with a leaking noisy muffler and it's been driving me crazy!  >:(

Oh man, let the good times roll.  ;D

I know it's really no big deal, but I'll take some pics.
