Samurai Carburetor
« on: July 07, 2011, 03:35:05 PM »
I have a 86 Samurai 1.3 carbureted, it was running to rich so I checked the sight glass and the fuel level was to high. So I took the top off and lowered the float level, put it back together and checked ,it was too low. So now I've done this a bunch of times but now the fuel level will only reach the bottom of the sight hole, no matter where I set the float it won't go any higher. It seems to drive ok but I would like to get it right. I've replaced the float and the needle and seat and have run out of ideas. It has a new fuel pump and filter on it. Any ideas?????   Thanks

if the float hooks to the top of the carb you could try flipping the top upside down and setting it that way.

I have turned the top upside down, the FSM says to set it at 8mm, I've set it a 4mm, that's as high as I can raise it before it's hitting the top of the carb.  ???
