There are some "L" shaped brackets that bolt between the brushguard and the frame ends.  If you have these brackets, then it should bolt on.  If you don't have them, or if your samurai has just the regular tie down brackets (they have a large oval shaped hole in the end of them), then it won't bolt on.

I have the standard tie downs. Is there a bracket that I could use between the brush guard and the frame?

Yes, as I said, there are "L" shaped brackets that go in place of the regular tie down brackets and they allow the brushguard to bolt on.

Do you have any suggestion on where I could pick a pair up? Or a picture with measurements?
Thanx

Ask for some here in the classifieds.
I might be able to find a pic.  I'll look and see.

Hey Sky couldn't he make them fairly easy out of some .25 material? If he measured the length 1" past the frame hole and 1" past the bumper hole he should be made in the shade. He could measure this with any flexible tape measure. Then just stop by any machine shop and have them cut or cut and bend the 2 brackets. Then he could bring them home, put them place, and mark the drill locations to be drilled.

Another easy way would be to piece of cardboard and cut it to look and fit like the bracket you want. Then take that to a machine / fabrication shop and have them make ya a couple.

Based on the labor and shop rates of my shop you should have them in your hands for about $25.00

Just a thought......

Here are the pics of the brackets that I believe are for the brushguard.
Ignore the 2 smaller holes, they are ones that I drilled in them.  The holes you use are the 2 along the curved edge (they are what you use to bolt it to the ends of the frame) and the bottom ones (that bolt to the brushguard).

Yeah, they shouldn't be too hard to make.  They are basically like the tie down brackets that are on most samurais.  Other than they are made out of a little thicker metal and they are more "L" shaped and don't have the big oval hole in the end.

With your photos he could make the template easy enuff to provide any shop the info they need to make those. Thanks for those they should be a great help to him.

I like your classidied ad idea too if he isn't in a big hurry.... There should be plenty of these around with all of the bumper changes that take place!

Yeah, it is a pretty basic bracket.  Half of it is just like the tie down bracket, so he could use that for a template.  The other half is what bolts to the brushguard, so he should be able to use the brushguard for the other half.
IDK about there being several around.  It had to have a brushguard on it, in order to have those brackets, otherwise, it just had the regular tie down brackets.  I have seen very few samurais with a brushguard or with those brackets.  I don't even remember where I got those brackets....I'd guess off of one of my samurais....but I know it didn't have the brushguard on it, just the brackets.
