The oil pump I ordered came with a metal gasket.Does it need sealant?Or does it go on dry?Or maybe copper coat?Any thoughts? Thanks!

Anyone used a metal gasket on oil pump? Any leaking issues?

The one I just installed also came with a metal gasket. For extra leak insurance I coated both sides with " The Right Stuff " black RTV before install. For fiber, paper or rubber gaskets I use Permetex High Tack coating on both sides of the gasket.

I'm pretty sure that just about any good sealer would work .
