2in lift
« on: January 26, 2004, 01:28:59 PM »
Hey how many of you have ran the calmini two in lift? Was it a good kit? I only wanna run 31 in mud terrains, and 5:88 gears, will this allow me to get the full flex out of the lift kit or no.

If you are just running the 2" lift you will rub 31's unless you do some finder trimming. I ran 29x10.50 Interco Thorinbirds on my Kick with the 2" lift and they rubbed a little bit with stock finders.

I realy like their 2" lift. I am know running the same kit on my X-90 that is my daily driver.

I really like the 2 inch kit and strongly urge someone who has no intention of adding winch bumpers and all kinds of other stuff to run the 2 inch. The ride is nice and the kit is simple and durable. The 3 inch is designed to have more flex but if your not carrying the added weight that it was designed for I would bet that the 2 inch would outflex it.

As for runnin 31s I think it will depend on how much offset your wheels will have. Ive seen 31s on a 2 inch lift tracker before. Im guessing that you may need to rolll the inner fender a little.

Even with the three in body lift , 31 in tires will Rub? I plan on running 2.75 off set wheels. And the calmini front whinch bumper, and their tire rack.

I'M RUBBING IN THE FRONT ON BUMPER & REAR OF FENDER WITH 32X9.50'S WITH THE CALMINI 6" COMBO LIFT ( WHICH I THOUGHT WAS SUPPOSED TO CLEAR  ??? ) BUT A LITTLE TRIMMING AND SHE'LL BE GOOD TO GO I THINK...I'M GONNA TRY SOME 31X10.50'S FIRST THOUGH..THESE SWAMPERS SURE MAKE THE ZUKE VIBRATE ESPECIALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS...... :o  MATTY D.  8)

It's the result of the large caverness space between the lugs. Stick your head out the window and listen to them purr as you pick up speed. Pretty coolllll....People can hear you coming.

Nope, just the suspension lift. I would not rub except for at full turn in the front and at full compression in the rear. If I was not running the T-Birds it would not of rubbed at all (the large side lugs were the only thing that hit)

I think that they say that 32x9.50 fit with no rub if you do minor triming ???

No, you are corect. You use your factory springs set in the new control arms on the front, and add new rear springs.

I think I remember talking to them when I put mine on and when you use their kit you need a smaller back spaced wheel.

This will put the tirer out further and clear the fenders and frame.

I went with a common 2.5" back spacing and had to trim a little off the back of the front fenders.  Other than that my 32/11.5 R15 clear everything through their full travel.
