Does anyone know if the brakes off of a 4 door Kick will fit on a 2 door kick? Will the just bolt right on? ??? Thanks

It's supost to be an easy swap.  I guess a lot of people will take the front rotor and use it on the rear and then get 4 door rotors and calipers and just bolt them on.

I'm trying it this spring.

I think what he was asking is will the fronts fit the front and will  the rears fit the rear kinda thing 8) he found a 4 door parts rig.

Its as easy as you would think. Do it. I love it. I have front 4 doors calipers and rotors on mine. I had rears also until I did the rear disc swap.

Hey if the 4 door has bigger brakes does it also have an uprated mastercylinder?

No. The pistion and wheel cylinders are still the same volume. Just the discs and drums got larger.

I beg to differ  :o , the piston in the caliper
appears to be larger, at least from the outside,
than the 2 door caliper, I didn't take mine apart
as they worked fine so I'm not 100% on this.

I didnt measure the two but I remember thinking that they looked like they were the same size. I am 100% positive that the wheel cylinders are the same though.

So to do the backs you just get the shoes
and drums/hardware and enjoy
:)

I remember them looking the same until I
put them next to each other, the 4 door looks
like the 2 door on steroids  ;D  similar in
appearance but larger over all

Nope, when I did the swap I accidentaly pumped the break pedal without the rr drum on and blew the cylinder. :-[ I used the cylinder from my 2 door backing plate cause it was laying there. It was definately the same.
