Well... we still need to attach a skid plate, but, the gas tank is about 4 inches higher. See my page! Also, those of you just starting out with a custom body lift, or a lift that uses the stock body bolts should look at this too.

What's this "flipping (inverting) the front strut mounts" deal?  You've piqued my interest on this mod but am curious what the task entails?
welding?
or just mounting the strut differently?

no welding, just mount the strut differently on top.

Here are some super simple instructions.
0) use some commen sense, be safe and think about what you are doing.

1) Jack up front of truck, set frame on jack stands.

2) remove tires to make it easier on yourself.

3) Use jack under A-arm to relieve pressure on strut  and keep spring from 'blowing out'.

4) unbolt upper strut nut.  (under hood)

5) unbolt 3 bolts that hold the upper strut ring.  (under hood/in fender)

6) flip strut mounting ring over, mount under fender.  (use washers to keep bolts from tearing out on top and to act as spacers between the beveled edge of the frame and the strut mount, underneath)

7) bolt everything back together.

You should now have ~1 inch of extra down travel and about 1 inch less up travel.
This mod is good to do in conjunction with .75 inch spring spacers up front.  (to keep the strut centered.)

Some photos of the finished installation can be seen here.

Thats a huge rear bumper!!!  I like the idea of flipping the strut ring underneath.  I just put the spring spacers in and went for a run in the dirt.  I noticed a little bang or thump when the front would catch a little air.

Thats probably the strut topping out?  I'm gonna flip the ring and remove the front bump stops to see if that helps a bit for flexing.
