Last time I did the oil in my tranny/tcase, I used the same 85w90 that I put in the diffs. Not sure if that's the 'proper' oil, but it worked for me ;)

I'm at home so I don't have my manuals here.....but

I would run whatever the book calls for.....in a good name brand synthetic.

Years ago we were running a 240Z Drag car and were sponsered by a Synthetic oil company.

We did back to back runs at the drag strip...all in one day to minimize atmospheric changes

- 3 runs Castrol GTX vs 3 runs Synthetic engine oil...no difference
- 3 runs regular trans gear oil vs 3 runs synthetic...slightly quicker/slightly more mph
- 3 runs regular rear end lube vs 3 runs synthetic...slightly quicker/slightly more mph
- 3 runs regular wheel bearing grease vs 3 runs synthetic...slightly quicker/slightly more mph

While the engine oil made no difference switching to synthetic in the driveline did! It wasn't alot when it all added up. (if memory serves about .15 sec quicker total and 2mph) it was measureable and while I srill run Castrol GTX in all my engines I do run synthetic in the driveline lubes and wheel bearing greases.

I run synthetic in the trans and regular lube in the t case. I change my fluids at least 3 to 4 times a year also. (thats about every 8-10k miles)

Have you seen the way he drives that Trucklet ???
He should probably change it every 3,000 miles,
with his motor oil   ;)

I was gonna say the same thing.

That's the only Tracker I've seen that SHOULD have a "Tail Number" on it, like they put on aircraft.  It should probably also have Instrument Landing System, maybe Weather Radar, and at least a UHF radio.

He doesn't "drive" it, he "taxi's" it between flights.
