Ya know, I run the Sidekick set up on my ol red Samurai with the Dana 44s and the 35 TSL/SX's. It works really well. The reason I have had good luck, I believe, is there are different Sidekick pumps. Some are smaller /weaker.

Eric,
Our P/S setup with the 35's feels quite a bit weakened compared to stock.

Do you have any other information about differing Sidekick pumps?

Are our Sidekick pumps adjustable to allow for more flow to the steering box?  (I haven't looked at it much yet.)

I was gonna put a kick set up on my Sammi when I put the 16V in, but then I got lazy.  I had all the stuff there to do it, I just wanted to get the damn motor in so I could drive my Zuk again.

-I think I might still have all the stuff if you're interested in purchasing.

Sidekick Power steering with calmini kit, handles my 31's with front locker just fine.

Picked up everything used from someone upgrading to toyota.

I first had the p/s Toy setup when it first came out. Was ok but not really stronger than the kick setup I have now.  The toy setup sucked in my opinion. The pump constanly puked out the front seal and the reservoir, even with a p/s cooler. I went through 2 reman pumps with the same results. The parts you use for the toy set up are really old and unreliable.
I went to kick set up finally and have not had problems with it puking. I run 33's locked and loaded and it is better than no p/s. I may upgrade to a Spidertrax pump and bracket for more power, and keep the steering gear box.
