Does anybody know of a company out there that makes a snorkel for the Samurai? I was hoping ARB did but, have been told no.  :-\  Anybody else know?

Just for you. http://www.rocky-road.com/zuksnorkle.html

I pulled this from the article "Samurai snorkels are distributed exclusively thru Rocky Road Outfitters and imported direct from Australia. You will not find these snorkels for sale at any other Suzuki shop or ARB dealer."

Or make one yourself, like i did ( just have to figure out an airfilterhouse off of which I can take the front when driving on the road)

Pipe is 3" exhaustpipe with Stainless 90 ° bends ( one of which was cut up to make the 2 short bends ). 3" because of the airvolume for the SuperCharger.

A friend of mine ( Mark ) works |removethispart|@ www.offroadcentre.nl and sells a snorkel for the Samurai, don't know the brand. Maybe you can contact him and ask.

I could build one. I just haven't found a good way (i.e. decent looking) method to build the top part of the snorkel and set up a pre-filter. I thought about putting a K&N on the end and just using it as a pre-filter. Any other ideas?

I found an Aussie company that sells the top part/pre-filter that you can put on your own snorkel.  Try this http://www.uniflow.com.au/droopie.asp and see if it's what you want.

'89 Sidekick w/ 4.5" of lift.

I built one out of black ABS pipe... it is 3 inch, it isn't installed yet because I can't figure out how I want to do it just yet. But it looks nice and my favorite part is everything is from home depot, cheap and replacable. So if you roll, or crash, or whatever you can snap a new piece in with no cutting. Another reason I havn't installed it yet is because i can't decide if I should remake it with 2inch pipe... anyways.

peace

i'll post a pic when i'm done.

I saw an ad for a "snorkel-hoodie" in an Aussie 4X4 mag, fits over the snorkelmouth. Mailed them for info and postage, never received an answer  >:(, might try the"droopie"-company.

It looks like they sell a pre-filter but, not the ram. That is the part I am really trying to find.  :-\

How did you attach it, what did you use at the top and at the bottom? Also, i've noticed many people turn the "ram" or intake to face the rear while other face it forward... whats your take on this?

cut and paste of the latest one we did
Ok for the snorkel step one, drill hole in cowel and mount snorkel

Step 2 route rubberized flex tub into engine compartment after a hole has been put through firewall, install Ace hardware S/S coupler to end of hose

Step 3 mount brackets to fender and pull S/S clamps through brackets

Step 4 install 3x4 modefied tube into air filter can and secure, then mount intake to Hose vis S/S Ace coupler

Step 5 take last pic dricnk more coffee

Oh ya get the right size S/S clamps for dry tank(moter tube)
