Surely this is the wrong thread for troubleshooting - a P0301 code tells you which cylinder is misfiring - #1.

Ridjobradi

I got the brakes bled again and they firmed up some but it still felt like I had a lot of travel in the pedal.  After posting on here and thanks to Fuzzy1 and Fordem I know that the 2dr MC has a slightly longer throw than the 4dr MC and have gotten used to it…I will probably change MC in the summer after I attempt to repair some rust areas.
The last of the wire came in and work and weather finally cooperated and I was bale to get the final piece soldered in and heat shrunk.  I want to rewrap the harness in the engine bay since I had it unwrapped looking for the short but have not been able to find the silicone wrap tape locally.  I will be perusing Amazon for it over the next few days and order it when I order the heated vest for my wifes Christmas present.

I need to replace the power steering belt and get an alignment as soon as I get work and weather to cooperate again…I hate not having access to a garage to work on stuff in the winter.

I replaced the coil packs on my 1.8.  That will hopefully resolve the intermittent firing problem I had recently.

I also removed the front passenger side fender to see if I could see where the cowl is supposed to drain.  It started draining into my passenger side floorboard again.  I removed the cowl access panel and shot a water hose under pressure into the cowl towards the passenger side.  I was able to get water to come out that direction, but not as fast as I thought it would.  I plan to remove the plastic cowling cover and put bronze window screen between the cover and the cowl.  That should keep the leaves and debris from getting in there and blocking the drain.

You should start a thread on restoring the cowling drain of the Sport in details with photos. Mine faces this problem as well   driving during the rain. I have leak under the dash on the passenger side.

The header I installed on the Sidekick didn't have an EGR pipe, so I was getting a check engine light.  I ordered a new gasket and bolts, cut and bent some heavy wall tubing and added the EGR piping.  No more check engine light.

I need to replace the liner in my little Lincoln MIG.  It think it got bent in the move.  It prevents the wire from feeding at a constant speed.

I finally added this, while I had the fender off.

I am not sure of the brand.  The model number was something like, SSVTLAA.  It was made for the diesel Vitara.  I had to cut the nozzle on the snorkel to get it to fit behind the fender, without interfering with the end of the firewall.  I am waiting on a 2.5 inch x 2.75 inch 90 degree elbow to finish the connection.  I am using silicone and aluminum intercooler plumbing from the snorkel to the air box.

The attached picture is what I removed from behind the fender.

Diesel Vitara or diesel Grand Vitara?  Do you know what generation vehicle?  The SS suggests it's a Safari snorkel but all of their model designations have numbers.

I believe it was from Safari.  It is for a 1st generation Vitara.  I got it from Singapore, nearly 2 years ago.

I looked at different options.  The diesel and a right hand drive H20 had right hand snorkels.  Both of them have air boxes near the firewall.   The Sport has the air box behind the headlight.   The portion of the snorkel that penetrates the fender has an almost teardrop shape also.   Most of the teardrop portion is cutoff to make it fit.

I will get more pics and the right part number when I fit the remaining parts.  The parts arrived today, but i will not be home for 2 weeks.

Beagle, that's fun.  Well, at least for those of us that are not using a shovel.

I just boarded a flight to Houston.  It is 12F here and 59F at home.

Sunday went up above Darrington to cut Christmas tree.  Derek's stock GV got 15 ft more than I did.  It was impressive watching his traction control working and just kept moving forward.
